TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time Digital & Interactive Senior Designer with based in New York City. This role requires in-office attendance at least 3 days a week. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a senior design partner to marketing leadership, helping translate strategy and business goals into effective digital experiences.
  • Collaborate closely within the marketing team, including with content, web, demand generation, events, and beyond 
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization, with an emphasis on product, to ensure evolution and unity of design across the company.
  • Contribute to the evolution of design standards, workflows, and review processes across marketing and in collaboration/coordination with design functions and leaders across the company.
  • Provide mentorship and day-to-day leadership to one direct report, ensuring quality, consistency, and professional development.
  • Lead design execution for high-impact digital initiatives, including: Website pages, landing pages, and modular web components, interactive content (reports, microsites, campaign experiences), digital marketing assets across email, paid media, social, and more.
  • Own projects end-to-end, from concept through production, iteration, and refinement.
  • Ensure work is thoughtful about usability, accessibility, performance, and scalability across devices.
  • Partner effectively with developers to ensure designs are feasible, high-performing, and flawlessly executed.
  • Apply and uphold Kharon’s visual identity across digital touchpoints, maintaining a high bar for craft and detail.
  • Think in systems – designing reusable treatments, templates, and frameworks that scale across campaigns and channels.
  • Provide constructive critique and feedback, balancing creative rigor with business realities and timelines.
  • Know when to advocate strongly for design quality and when to adapt to constraints without unnecessary friction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of professional design experience, with substantial depth in digital, interactive, and web design.
  • Demonstrated experience operating as a senior individual contributor within marketing teams or digital agencies.
  • A portfolio that clearly reflects: Web and digital-first design work, campaign-driven marketing experiences, interactive or complex content (not purely brand or print), strong grounding in UI/UX principles, including information architecture, interaction design, accessibility, and usability best practices, with the ability to apply these concepts pragmatically within marketing and CMS-driven environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma as a primary design and collaboration tool & working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (as needed for marketing asset production).
  • Experience designing within and alongside CMS-driven environments (e.g., modular pages, templates, reusable components).
  • Proven ability to collaborate closely with engineers and web developers, with a solid understanding of modern front-end constraints and workflows.
  • Strong design judgment, attention to detail, and ability to translate abstract goals into clear visual solutions.
  • Experience at a leading digital or creative agency, particularly on high-profile or globally recognized brands is a plus!
  • Background working with complex, B2B, technology, or intelligence-oriented subject matter and familiarity with UX principles, conversion-oriented design, and performance-driven marketing environments is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience contributing to or helping shape a growing design function would be superb

Kharon is seeking a Senior Designer to help lead and scale our marketing design capability, with a strong focus on digital, interactive, and web-based work. This role is designed for a seasoned digital designer who combines high creative standards with pragmatism.

The Senior Designer will serve as both a hands-on individual contributor and a leader within the marketing organization, shaping how design supports campaigns, web experiences, and audience engagement. This is not a brand-only or print-led role; depth in digital environments is essential.

The base salary range at Kharon is set between $110,000-$125,000. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
